Phew! Busy week! Lots to cover here! 

  1. 30 Day Challenge Update: We started a new 30 Day Challenge, while some of you are still crushing it on the old one. We will be running a new one starting every 2 weeks, so there is always time to jump in on a challenge.  

  2. New Blog Post: I wrote a new blog, inspired by the many emails I have received from members lamenting their lack of “motivation”. This pandemic is wearing on us, and the stress is becoming chronic. So of course we are going to experience a lack of motivation- and it’s not our fault.   3. Zoom call with me! The next members only zoom call with me is coming up this week! Thursday August 13th at 1pm est. On Wednesday and Thursday you will receive an email reminder with a link to join the call. Come chat with me, ask me questions, listen to me talk more about all the topics Autoimmune Strong related. No topic too big or small! Can’t make it but have questions? Email me and I will answer them! And of course, I will post a replay link on the portal, so if you can’t make it, you can still watch.

  4. And an exciting announcement for all you long-time members… Level 6 is coming out so very soon! Stay tuned!

This is going to sound egotistical, but I am motivated to keep doing this because I am so wicked proud of myself every single day that I exercise. And I do mean proud of myself. I kinda strut around for a while after I finish. lol. What can I say?”

“My posture is better, my core is strong.  I am looking much better naked.  My body feels good.  The biggest change is that exercise is a priority in my life.  Exercise is a higher priority than getting to work on time. I can’t imagine not doing your program and I can’t wait to see how I look naked in 6 months when I turn 60!”

The 14 Day Challenge, New Levels, Member Call Recap

 

To My Wonderful Autoimmune Strong Members:

LOTS of member stuff happening right now! 

The 14 Day Challenge is happening right now. So many members are loving this easy gentle daily reminder to get moving. If you haven’t given it a try yet, I encourage you to check it out (you can find it on the portal here). And for those of you participating in the challenge? I want to remind you that if you miss a day (or two or three) that it’s ok! We don’t have to be rigid to see success. A little goes a long way. 

Check out this quote from member Amelie about the reason she loves the AIS challenges: 

“The first day or two of a challenge is always about mindset, commitment, learning to listen to our bodies (which is huge to accept) and prep for routines. It makes all the difference. People feel more prepared and committed and regularly are surprised at how easy it is and how surprised they are that they notice results without pushing hard. That’s the whole reason for “trusting” the process. It’s ok to do the exercises when you wish or add to what Andrea is recommending for the day, IF your body is ready and it won’t set off a flare. I have days where I can do more and days where I have to do less than is recommended in the challenge. Not everyone is at the same place and this is for people wherever they are in their bodies. Some people can do the ab bracing, stretching and a workout, and some are still just able to ab brace on a wall. {But this “challenge” can be tailored to what you need! That’s why I keep coming back.}”

The members only zoom call replay link is here! The members call was so good, we talked for almost 2 hours! It was so good to see your faces and really dig deeper into your questions about all the exercises. We talked about so much that I can’t even summarize it! We talked a lot about shoulder health, scapula push-ups, ab bracing, the relationship between stretching and strengthening (and why it’s important to do both)... and of course we talked a lot about foam rolling! We covered so much ground! Here is the link to the replay.

And finally, a health update on me, since so many of you have so kindly asked! The COVID is gone but I am still dealing with the lingering after-effects such as exhaustion and persistent bronchitis. I am working on resting and healing. BUT… that, combined with the fact that my kids are home and my husband and I am splitting homeschooling duties, means that I am not the fastest at answering emails, so please understand my delay. I promise I will get back to you within 24-48 hours! If it is urgent though? Let me know in the subject line and I will take a look asap.  

I love the commitment that you all are making to your health and well-being and I am so glad you are here, and I hope that I can model for you how to balance rest and work and family duties, while maintaining my commitment to my own exercise and self care. We have to take care of ourselves so we can take care of others.

Three Big Autoimmune Strong Updates

 

To My Wonderful Autoimmune Strong Members:

I am going to try to keep this short and sweet today so you get the highlights- because I have 3 really important announcements! 

  • The 14 Day Challenge begins on Monday!!! Any questions about this 14 Day Challenge, please let me know. I am really excited about this one. You will get an email tomorrow about details on how to begin. 

  • Level 4 & 5 are finally here! Along with corresponding calendars and workout videos. I know there are many of you who have been waiting for this… and the day has come!!! AND- with these new levels comes an easier to use portal. I think it’s easier to use and follow, especially on mobile- and if you like it, we will roll this new, easier to use portal, then we will roll it out to the whole program!

    I am so excited about this- but please note that this is a beta test- which means that we are still testing out the tech. So take a look, watch some videos, and if you see any tech issues, please let me know. Give it a look-see and let me know what you think! Level 4 click here & Level 5 click here.

  • And just a heads up, we have changed our billing system to give you a better system for tracking your membership payments. You will be receiving an email each time we bill your credit card, so you have a receipt to keep for each payment. My hope is that this is more clear and transparent for you.
